DHA - full name docosahexaenoic acid is an essential fatty
acid, which cannot be manufactured in our body and must
be obtained daily through our diets. Essential fatty acids is the most complex form of Omega-3 and is difficult to include in our diet as only few foods contain a significant amount.
Omega 3 fatty acid has the longest chain length of the Omega-3s. ALA and EPA are the other main Omega-3s. The body can convert these other types but very inefficiently especially if the diet contains a lot of Omega-6s.
